Longford Capital Co-Founders and Managing Directors Named to 2022 IAM Strategy 300 — The World’s Leading IP Strategists
CHICAGO, August 22, 2022 - Longford Capital today announced that the editors and publishers of Intellectual Asset Management magazine selected co-founders and managing directors William P. Farrell, Jr., and Michael A. Nicolas for IAM Strategy 300 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists, placing them among the world’s leading IP strategists for the eighth consecutive year. The IAM Strategy 300 is an annual list of individuals who lead the way in the development and implementation of world-class IP value creation programs.
IAM Strategy 300 uses an unbiased research process to identify consultants, intermediaries, financiers, lawyers and attorneys whose primary expertise is helping IP owners increase the value of their portfolios. The strategists selected see value creation in the round; it is this 360-degree perspective, combined with a demonstrable ability to deliver, which makes them stand out from the crowd. This annual recognition is for the 2022 calendar year.
These world-class IP strategists are identified through confidential nominations made online — no individual may qualify for a listing in the IAM Strategy 300 unless she or he is nominated by at least three people from outside of her or his own organization. The research process also involves extensive interviews with senior members of the global IP community conducted in the first half of 2022. IAM did not receive compensation in exchange for this recognition.
Longford Capital provides equity financing and assistance to individuals, businesses and other organizations that are executing programs to obtain value from IP portfolios. Its one-of-kind University Initiative provides financial assistance to help universities realize the full value of their research and development activities, without burdening their budgets.
“As we close in on nearly 10 consecutive years of recognition, we are grateful for this enduring affirmation of the value we provide individuals, companies, and universities seeking a better way to finance their mission-critical IP litigation,” said Timothy S. Farrell, co-founder and managing director of Longford Capital. “While demand for our capital from IP claim owners is stronger than ever before, we don’t take industry recognition for granted. We believe it is earned because of consistent hard work, innovation and strong relationships, traits we cultivate carefully and for which we’ve become well known.”
