Longford Capital Team Members Named to 2024 IAM Strategy 300 List for Tenth Consecutive Year

Annual list recognizes world’s top IP portfolio management strategists

CHICAGO, May 3, 2024 - Longford Capital today announced that Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) magazine has named Longford Capital co-founders and managing directors William P. Farrell, Jr. and Michael A. Nicolas, along with director Marc A. Cavan, to the publication’s 2024 IAM Strategy 300 list. This is Longford’s tenth consecutive year featured on the list, which highlights the world’s leading IP portfolio strategists.

One of the industry’s most prestigious rankings, the IAM Strategy 300 identifies the top practitioners advancing IP portfolio management by developing and implementing strategies that maximize the value of IP portfolios. The annual list includes individual consultants, intermediaries, financiers and attorneys from a variety of organizations around the world, including corporations, service providers and research institutions.

IAM uses comprehensive research and analysis to identify leading IP strategists. Nominees must first receive at least three nominations from peers outside their organizations, then pass a comprehensive vetting process involving in-depth interviews with senior members of the global IP community. IAM editors determine inclusion in the IAM 300 solely on the candidates’ merits; there is no compensation made to IAM for inclusion on the list.

“It’s an honor to have members of our team recognized as global leaders in IP portfolio strategy for the tenth year in a row,” said Timothy S. Farrell, co-founder and managing director of Longford Capital. “Since our founding, we’ve always worked hard to find new and innovative ways to provide value to individuals and organizations pursuing critically important IP litigation, from capital through to strategy, support and guidance. We’re glad to see our peers in the industry affirm both the strength of our insights and our ability to consistently deliver value to clients as they seek to protect their critical IP assets.”

Longford Capital provides equity financing and assistance to individuals, businesses and other organizations that are executing litigation programs to obtain value from IP portfolios. Its one-of-a-kind University Initiative provides financial assistance to help universities realize the full value of their research and development activities without burdening their budgets.
